Welcome to Lancot Swans Football Club
We are a fully inclusive club that follows the FA fair play rules, who believes that football should be available and enjoyable to everyone regardless of ability. We are fully affiliated to the FA and therefore follow their guidance in relation to the running of the club.
We are proud to have around 70 players already signed on, but new players are always welcome. Year 3 in particular would love to add some budding football stars.
There is a new committee in place, with Chris Tompkins taking on the role of Club Chairman. And, we are delighted to have just recruited our newest coach Adam who is will be the coach for the Year 2 “Hornets”.
Firstly, we would like to wish all our players and their families a very Happy New Year! We hope 2019 brings health, wealth and happiness to you all.
Lancot Swans returned to football training on 12th January and despite the cold it was great to see so many players eager to return.
Our stars of the week were:
Year 1 – Ethan
Year 5 – Owen
Lots of matches were played on Saturday 19th January. Year 2 Hornets played a tough game against Woodside and whilst the score did not go their way a great goal was scored by Romai. Massive congratulations to Dru for getting Player of the Week.
Lancot Lions (Year 3) played Caddington Village in a friendly match at Lancot School. This was a hard game for Lancot, playing an experienced Caddington team. All players worked extremely hard but unfortunately this game ended in a defeat. Man of the Match was Rocco. It was his first ever game for Lancot and he showed lots of energy working defensively and attacking.
Year 4 Blues had an away match at Aspley Guise and earned themselves a win, with lots of goals and a brilliant team effort.
We are looking forward to all the future challenges each match will bring this season.
We are still recruiting for more players so if you have a child with an interest in football, please bring them along to one of our sessions or email: firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
